Description: |
Perennial, glabrous, succulent herbs, 30-100cm high. Leaves usually simple, sometimes lobed or compound, with 3-leaflets, opposite, fleshy, stalked, ovate or oblong, crenate, obtuse. Flowers pendulous, cylindric, about 5cm long, in large terminal panicles; pedicel 1-1.5cm long. Follicles 4, many seeded, enclosed in persistent papery calyx and corolla. |
